Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Qatari-mediated talks produced a revised proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within two days, shortened from Qatar's earlier five-day proposal. Implementation remains conditional on Tehran's demands.
* Iran's Conditions: Lifting sanctions imposed after the Islamabad memorandum, reducing U.S. forces in the region, restoring oil export waivers and releasing all frozen Iranian funds, including those held in Qatar.
* Shipping Routes: Tehran demands recognition of routes discussed with Oman and closure of alternative passages through the strait.
* Diplomatic Outlook: Araghchi said reopening Hormuz under Iran's conditions would pave the way for renewed U.S.–Iran negotiations on unresolved issues. No final agreement was announced.
