Baltic Dry Index rose 47 points (1.85%) to 2,593 on Tuesday, buoyed by stronger Capesize freight rates. The Capesize index (BCI) jumped 157 points (4.67%) to 3,522; Capesize average daily earnings rose $1,427 to $28,442. The Panamax index (BPI) fell 39 points (1.71%) to 2,247, with Panamax daily earnings down $350 to $20,223. The Supramax index (BSI) was unchanged at 1,868. 20-OCT-2026 09:38 AM ET
