i24News, citing Israeli sources, says Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke multiple times with US President Trump over the past week and is holding a restricted security briefing tonight. Sources say tensions with Iran are elevated and Trump may consider resuming military action against Tehran; the US president "will decide independently" and "when ready," and Israel and the US have no differences on their objectives. Sources added Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas are seeking to overturn the Netanyahu government and trying to disrupt Israeli elections. Israeli public reaction to recent Houthi attacks is unusually strong given their severity, and Saudi Arabia is reported to be facing similar pressure. 11-OCT-2026 01:57 PM ET
