$AMD $HPE – HPE Expands ProLiant Servers With 6th Gen AMD EPYC Hewlett Packard Enterprise ($HPE) is expanding its ProLiant server portfolio with next-generation systems powered by AMD’s 6th Gen EPYC processors, strengthening the partnership between the two companies. HPE is bringing the latest AMD EPYC 9006 Series CPUs into its ProLiant lineup, targeting demanding enterprise, AI and data-center workloads. AMD’s new processors are designed around the growing need for higher compute density, efficient AI infrastructure and increasingly complex agentic workloads. The timing is important because enterprise AI is moving beyond GPU-heavy training toward AI inference, agentic workflows and hybrid workloads. AMD says its EPYC 9006 family is designed for different roles across agent execution, AI host nodes and general-purpose enterprise workloads, with configurations reaching up to 256 cores and 512 threads. HPE is also using AMD’s latest CPUs in its broader AI and high-performance-computing portfolio. Its Cray GX5000 platform with 6th Gen EPYC is being deployed for AI and scientific workloads, while HPE and AMD are also collaborating on the Helios rack-scale AI platform, combining EPYC CPUs, Instinct GPUs, Pensando networking and ROCm software. For AMD, the significance goes beyond one server launch. HPE is one of the major enterprise infrastructure providers, so wider ProLiant adoption gives AMD another route to capture spending as companies upgrade their data centers for AI inference, cloud computing and enterprise workloads. Why it matters: AMD is increasingly positioning EPYC not just as an alternative server CPU, but as a key part of the AI infrastructure stack. HPE's adoption strengthens AMD's presence in the enterprise market while complementing its growing AI GPU business. Bottom line: The HPE–AMD collaboration is another positive catalyst for $AMD as demand shifts toward AI-ready enterprise servers and high-density data-center infrastructure. #AMD #HPE #AdvancedMicroDevices #HewlettPackardEnterprise #EPYC #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #DataCenters #AIInfrastructure #Semiconductors
