$LAES – SEALSQ Invests $10M in WISeSat to Expand Quantum-Secure Space Infrastructure SEALSQ ($LAES) is putting $10 million into WISeSat.Space as the company pushes deeper into space cybersecurity and post-quantum communications. The investment closed on October 1, 2026, alongside WISeSat.Space’s business combination, with WISeSat beginning Nasdaq trading under the ticker $SAIQ. SEALSQ purchased 926,784 WISeSat ordinary shares at $10.79 per share. The bigger story is what the capital is being used for. WISeSat plans to expand its satellite infrastructure and integrate post-quantum cryptography (PQC) across its satellites, ground systems and user infrastructure. SEALSQ will use WISeSat’s satellite capacity to support planned quantum and post-quantum services. This creates a combination of satellite connectivity + secure semiconductors + cryptography + digital identity. The companies are targeting applications where security is critical, including government, defense, financial services, critical infrastructure and IoT. SEALSQ has been developing its post-quantum technology around secure semiconductor products and PKI. Its broader pipeline reportedly exceeded $225 million through 2029 as of September 22, including more than $100 million linked to post-quantum projects, although these figures represent potential opportunities rather than contracted revenue. The companies are also working toward a larger Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud (QSOC) concept, combining WISeSat satellites with SEALSQ’s post-quantum semiconductors, quantum random-number generation and identity technologies. The current roadmap contemplates a constellation of up to 100 satellites through 2033. Why it matters: Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important as satellites and connected devices become more autonomous. SEALSQ is positioning its technology to protect these systems not only against today's cyberattacks but also against future threats from quantum computing. Bottom line: $LAES is expanding beyond traditional semiconductor security into space-based cybersecurity and post-quantum infrastructure, with the $10M WISeSat investment giving it direct exposure to the emerging secure-space market. #LAES #SEALSQ #SAIQ #WISeSat #Cybersecurity #QuantumComputing #PostQuantum #SpaceTech #Satellite #AI #IoT
