$AMZN PLANS TO EXPAND ITS DELIVERY NETWORK TO NEARLY EVERY U.S. ZIP CODE BY 2029 Amazon aims to grow its own delivery network from about 23,700 U.S. ZIP codes today to roughly 39,400 by 2029, according to an internal planning document reviewed by Business Insider. That would cover about 95% of U.S. ZIP codes and 99.9% of customer demand. The plan includes 165 new delivery stations from 2027-2029 and about 4,500 additional ZIP codes through Amazon’s rural Hub Delivery program. The expansion began as part of Project Aurelian, a contingency plan created when Amazon’s USPS contract negotiations became uncertain. Amazon says the projections are preliminary and could change.
