Venezuela is preparing to export about 15,000 tonnes of aluminium to the United States under agreements with Mocorí Energy Group and private miner Heeney Capital, according to foreign media and sources. The cargo, produced by state-owned Venalum, would be the first shipment to the US in years and is scheduled to depart Venezuela on Friday. The move is part of Caracas’s push to diversify its economy away from oil as commercial ties with the US rapidly normalize.
