US MORTGAGE RATES EDGE HIGHER U.S. mortgage rates mostly increased in the latest MBA survey. The 30-year fixed rate rose 1 basis point to 6.79%, while the 15-year fixed climbed 4 bps to 6.14%. The 30-year jumbo increased to 6.76% and FHA loans to 6.49%. Meanwhile, the 5-year adjustable rate fell 4 bps to 5.94%, bucking the broader upward trend. 02-SEP-2026 07:03 AM ET
