The Baltic Dry Index rose 174 points (+5.5%) to 3,331 on Wednesday, the highest level since Dec 2023, driven by broad strength across vessel classes. The capesize index gained 421 points (+8.1%) to 5,642, with average daily earnings up 3,819 dlr to 47,666 dlr; the panamax index added 69 points (+2.9%) to 2,429, a three-month high, with daily earnings up 628 dlr to 21,865 dlr; the supramax index rose 7 points (+0.4%) to 1,657.
