Barrick Mining ($B) has settled its long-running dispute with Newmont ($NEM) over their Nevada operations, securing a $1.95 billion cash payment. The agreement removes a key hurdle for Barrick’s planned North American gold-asset IPO, with the portfolio anchored by Nevada Gold Mines, Pueblo Viejo and Fourmile. The settlement comes alongside strong Q2 results, with revenue rising 44% YoY to $5.29 billion and net income reaching $1.22 billion. The deal strengthens Barrick’s position in its core gold portfolio while providing significant cash proceeds
